I have a lawnmower blenny that likes to pick up hermits and snails and shake them wildly before spitting them out.

He also sits on my large squamosa clam like it is a hammock. It used to try to close on him but has gotten used to it now.

My target manderine begs for food and attention by swimming around whatever side of the tank you are on and he follows me. He always gets in the way when I am trying to clean the tank.

Does your blenny do this to the hermit crabs and snails which are near it or does it search them out? Blennys can become pretty territorial. I have never had that problem with a lawnmower blenny but I did have a redlipped that would attack anything that came near it. All of my fish (even the large ones!) would have kiss marks all over their bodies -- and FORGET about putting in any new fish. We put a coral beauty in the tank and the blenny attacked it to death. (needless to say we no longer have either).
