Today I was feeding my fish some flake food. Pretty usual. My clownfish, damselfish and my tang are all going bizerk(spelling?) Anyways, my precious little Green Clown Goby that is usually much too prissy for flake food and prefers brine shrimp, bolts out for his/her first bite of flake food. BAD IDEA! My clownfish(about 2 inches) grabs the goby(not even 1 inch long) by the dorsal fin, and begins swimming towards the anenome! I tapped the glass, and this, with a combination of my goby's frantic swimming, allowed him/her to get away unhurt. This was just a weird story, but I have a few questions about it.
1) Should I get rid of the tomato clownfish? What is a more peaceful clownfish?
2) Will my goby be okay? There is no bite mark, but I am still worried for the little guy.
3) If I cannot add another clownfish, what other fish won't try to eat my goby, or feed him to an anenome?

Your clown goby should be ok as long as he isn't super stressed out. Tomato clowns are the most agressive clownfish(i think)....try going with a more peaceful species like percula or ocellaris. As far as adding other fish don't get any agressive fish. When you see a fish you like go home and read about them. There are lots of peaceful fish out there.

The fish was trying to feed the anemone, as stated b4 tomatoes are very agressive fish. Clownfish are generaly territorial fish that do not appreciate any other fish coming near their territory.

You can look into skunk clowns, they're generally more peaceful and tolerant.

Let's not forget that clownfish are very closely related to damselfish so they're genetically predisposed to being agressive and territorial. ;)
