I am going to order some seahorses, specifically a temperate species Australian Knights (potbellied seahorses) Captive Bred from Australia's USA distributor and also I am ordering additional dwarf seahorses also captive bred. If you are in the area of Daytona Beach/Cape Canaveral and would like to also order with me and save on shipping and receive a small discount let me know right away :)

Well the Knights were ordered and I received them today. They are great. I'll post a couple of pics a little later tonight. I am going to hold off one more month on ordering the dwarfs to allow time if anyone wants to order with me. If not no problem, I'll place my order.

That's great, there's no better way to save some money than sharing shipping costs.

"Black seahorses" really doesn't tell anybody anything.

Desiree,

What size tank are your H. abdominalis kept in? May I inquire as to your tank specifications?

Brock, generally here in our area the "black seahorses" are erectus because they are local WC's. Occasionally in LFS they are either erectus or reidi.

Brock my abdominalis are kept in a custom cylinder aquarium, it is 80gallons. I keep them at approx. 65-66F, I run a UV sterilizer, internal filter, sand bottom, 10019, 0 on every other param, PC lighting....is there something specific you wanted to know? There is a ton of info on my tank that I could give you...I am in class right now so I have to keep this short. I also have a 9gallon that I keep my dwarfs in similar set up but I keep them at about 77F. And I have a 37gallon full reef that does not contain SH's and just to note I do not feel SH's have a place in a reef even if they do come into contact in the wild systems give them no where to go to keep from being stung and so fourth.

I honestly don't see the need to continue resurrecting these threads to argue. Discuss these topics in the proper forum please.
