Here are some pics of my 12g Nano.

Everything has shown some growth, but the trumpets have shown the most.

Here is one when I first got them.

Do you all think I should put more LR in the back, to hide most of the black wall?

I would also have to say congrats, those trumpet corals are lookin' good! Can wait to get the frags!

As for adding liverock I would say yes, the tank seems empty almost, I think adding liverock will make it look more stocked.

just my opinion however.

Thanks,
I agree also, it does look bare. I will add some more LR soon.

Everytime I get a frag, I put it on the substrate because I don't have a spot to put it up on the LR. Can you give me some types of corals like to be up higher and not on the subtrate? I think doing this will add more depth to the tank...

I am sure any of the corals you already have will fare fine up near the top of the water, expecially the xenia!

But yeah if we swap frags, the ricordeas that I have tend to like high light, I have some that actually love the MHs and open up very large with them on!

Would feeding of DT's or Mysis benifit my corals? I have never fed them before.

at Night when your sweepers are out ,I feed my trumpets mysis. the rest in that small of a tank should have plenty of excess nutrients floating around in the water to keep the others happy, I thing it could get out of control to easy feeding phytoplankton,in that small of a tank and you could wide up fight a lot of Hair algae. Yea, I definately don't want any bad algea...how often should I feed them?

Will the feeding of this help them grow faster? It seems hard to believe that they can grow faster, they are doing the best out of all my corals. Also, what should their response be when I squirt some mysis on them?

you will see the little sweepers, pull the shrimp in
I feed 2 times a week myself.

Well I just fed them some mysis, not all polyps got some, but the ones that did quickly retracted and are plumped up like a balloon. I think I will do this once a week. Is there any other type of food that I might try?
Will this accelerate their growth rate?

I usually feed cyclops, and I do dose an amount of PhytoPlex often, however I think I am going to cut back on the phyto soon, since I blame it for the algae growth that I have.

Gryz

I have heard great things about Cyclops...might have to pic some up. I think I will feed sparingly though due to the tank being so small. I have had good success with it so far, would want to go downhill.

Just trying to get these frags looking good for when we trade Max

I know in my 37 gal cube i quit adding phyto and I have no unwanted algae blooms in there and I have not seen a change in the look or health of my corals. now if I can only get a hold on a dang Macro hitch hicker that I picked up on a rock gone I''ll be fine again....lol

One of the interesting things that I heard about dosing Phyto is the fact that dosing Live Phyto in your tank can actually compete for nutrients with other algaes. Of course the only downside to this is once that Phyto gets processed by organisms etc., it will get released again as what it started out as...

I will probably stop adding it too!
