i am wonder what kind of water quality will be produced with a r/o unit that does not operate in the recommended water pressure. the maker pinnacle(seachem)say water pressure should be 55-65, for best results. i can not get more than 40 or so. will this still provide good water? the water is comming out of the pipe that the shower head connects to. i am not in the postion to by a $200.00 booster pump for this unit. can any one be of some help. thanks alot

It will work just fine, however, your RO system might be rated for something like 100gpd with a lower water pressure, that figure will be reduced.
I have pretty bad water pressure, it takes about 8 hours to fill a 7 gallon bucket....

Actually a tip that I learned from Mark (don't know the last name) of Melevs Reef ( http://www.melevsreef.com/ ) is to take the water input line and extend it to about 20 feet, then make a coil with it, then place this coil into a bucket of water with a heater in it. Set the heater at about 79-80 degree F, this is the optimal temperature that RODI systems run at, which, as Mark put it, is also the ideal temp for our reefs! At this temp the water will come out faster than if you were to run cold water from your tap. Personally I just use a combo of the hot and cold water. Check out his site if you have a hard time understanding what I wrote, he explained it far better than I did!
