my tank is 5ft x 2ft x 2.5ft deep!

i havent set it up yet but i have two 150w 10000k metal halides, i want to keep most sorts of corals, what other lighting could i put in to make it suitable.

You'll do fine with 250 watt metal halides. With 400 watts, you'll be able to keep anything at all. I guess it's your choice, but either of those two will be great.

30".....may be for some softies VHO's would work...but I am for the 250 - 400 watt MH...to get good lighting down 30"s.......
