I am an African cichlid breeder and you all are probally like :eek2: An African cichlid is a fresh water fish that is from a lake in Africa called Lake malawi. There are two other large lakes. One of them is Tangnieka and the other Victoria. I keep the Malawie's. I was just looking to set-up a little saltwater tank.

Welcome! I kept a few cichlids before coming over to saltwater. Most of the time, though, I had community freshwater tanks. I think we have several members who keep and breed cichlids. Anywaaaaay, I digress! Welcome to CF! We'll be glad to help you start a new aspect of your hobby!

Welcome t the forum. I still have a 55 cichild tank setup. I still love watching them. I do spend most of the time watching the sw tank but I do love my cichilds.
