nice hood light

I'm going to be setting up a nice 125g reef tank in the near future and would some suggestions on a good light system and skimmer/pump.

Lighting really depends on what you plan to keep in your tank. The general concensus is that metal halide is the best lighting today, but if you don't want high light demanding corals, there is no reason to make such an investment. Since you say you'll be getting a reef, you'll probably be best off starting with MH, instead of buying something cheaper and upgrading later. Do a search in our forum for "lighting", and you'll get lots of results and opinions.

Also, are you looking for an HOB skimmer, or in-sump?
