CD Case Skimmer!

I didn't make this, but I had to post the pictures of this simple design made from 2 cd jewel cases and super glue.

That image is for you people that think this will never work...look at that dark skimmate! This is insanely easy to build and fits nicely inside of an aquaclear 300 or 500 I imagine.

He has his in a skilter filter thing.

This obviously isn't for larger setups, 10 or 20 gallon setups. I found it while searching for a skimmer adequate enough for my 20 gal long. I'll probably make a skimmer similar to this, but with acrylic...who knows I might just try the CD Case method lol...I couldn't believe this when I first saw it!

Those pictures are ricordea I grew at the Gulf Coast Marine Specimen Laboratory...unfortunately...they were lost due to Katrina. All of my corals including the research corals and projects were lost. Nothing was salvageable. But I'm trying to locate a few volunteers I gave fragments to and see if I can get a frag or so back...also I'm going to start lining things back up at GCMSL after Christmas and start the donation process again and hopefully people will donate...
