I just had this idea off the top of my head, and since this is the conservation/education forum here goes...I think it would be cool if those of us who propagate and grow our own corals would buy something that your dont usually find on the market everyday,(doesnt have to be a coral, could be a fish or invert),and propagate it,breed it or w/e other form of reproduction it does.Heres where the neat part is,After you have succesfully propagated/breeded etc... donate it to an aquarium. Example(i propagted something rare,i give it to Ripleys aquarium of the Smokeys.)
With this idea i think it ties in conservation and education of things that may not be around much longer.Any comments or Q's?

Great idea, but why not donate to other reefers and try to revive a rare species without taking it from the ocean.

Have you donated to Ripley's already so I can look for it next time I go?

By donating to one aquarium that's not an effort to save...but by doing what reefpaddler has stated, and spreading it out, you'll have more likelihood of success in saving the species.
