stupid question needs smart answer

just bought a bag or aragonite, question is can i use tap water to rinse it, or should i go with tank water? our water comes from the community well, separate from the city and has quite a bit of iron in it though it goes through a water softener. i'm adding it to a tank with fish and corals already in it.

If you'rew going to just rinse it there should be no problem in just using tap water.

yup, just rinsing to get rid of some of the dust

Hose it down. I would recommend, however, only rinsing about 5-10 lbs at a time in a 5 gal bucket or equivalent. It will really help out getting all the dust off. I got impaitent with the second half of washing mine, and I regreted it.

I would argee to with the above advice to but myself I wouldn't want to get rid of all the dust. it will settle and if you put it in a garbage bag and put it in the tank then break the bottom of the bag out while the bag is on your SB then spread it, it won't cloud as much.
a lot of that dust is good buffer.
