That also explains why our hurricane season has been so strong. The waters have had higher than normal temps which have fuel'd the storms to record levels.

2005 alone had two of the strongest hurricanes in recorded history:
Katrina - Ranked 3rd strongest in recorded history.
Wilma - The Strongest (lowest pressure) Atlantic Hurricane in recorded history!

Just goes to show that nature is fighting back and trying to correct the damage being done to it.

I read about this on Sunday's newspaper the estimates so far are that about.....85-90% of corals are bleached along the eastern coastline :( , I haven't been diving/snorkling in that area for awhile now, but I can tell you those were amazing reefs. Guess it's just nature's way of telling us we're messing up. Now is up to us to listen.
