Hey guys, i have a 10 gallon refugium and i have a large clump of cheato in it along with rubble and live sand, i am looking for light suggestions so i can get my cheato growing. right now i have a regular flouresent bulb over it and all i have growing in my fuge is slime algae! please give me suggestions.

How long has the tank benn set up? Slime algae is very common on new tanks. Mostly is because there's a lot of organic waste in the tank from cycling. Also make sure you're not overfeeding, using RO water and syphon as much of the SA as you can. As far as the lightning is concerned you don't need to upgrade at all. Even a simple 60W lightbulb will do the trick.
