View Full Version : Carnation Corals....need help to make them happy....!

:?: hope some one can help me with my carnation corals.... eversince i got them , i have 2... one a red and the other a blondish type.... they shrunk to about a quater of there size when i put them into my 55 reef..... i target feed them twice-a-week with oyster eggs ( frozen )... they extend their feeding feelers ( for lack of words ) but never fully fill out like they were inthe LOFS....? Gggggggggggggeee....? they are just not showing signs of being happy corals.... had them now for over 7 weeks.... any one with simmilar exp. ? any one with success with these beatifull corals.... any help is appreciated, cw.

Unfortunetely the husbandry of these corals is still on it's infancy, pretty much the oyster eggs are not enough for them to survive and thrive.

I know with mine I feed a mixture of eggs and phyto. I also do some rotifers also. It takes alot of work to keep them happy.
