Last night a terrible thunderstrom shook my city, I turned off the system for precaution while the strom lasted (about an hour or so). After all the lightnings and thunders, I turned on all the system again. Everything was doing fine untill the pump of my RS Berlin Turbe started doing some strange noises and stoped pumping into the the skimmer. I unplugged it and took a look inside. Everything seemed fine, so I plugged it again, and the noise persisted. I took a closer look to its guts again and found out that a small piece of plastic chiped off of the "neck" of the impeller, making it unstable when rotating. I ran to my local store and bought a new submersible pump. To raplece the broken one.
She works ok, and I turned the skimmer to venturi mode (the berlin turbo is a simple venturi, the only thing special is that it forces air through the blades of the pump, but the skimmer is the same as the classic). The pump is a bit more powerfull than the original, but I can adjust her flow. The venturi also works ok, and the skimmer is full of water and full of white foam. But nothing is coming out the waste cup!!
I let it running all night, and this morning the waste cup was clean and no foam coming out the top of the skimmer.
