im making a 12" x 12" fuge. small but all that will fit under my tank cabinet. having questions about baffle positioning. the total tank is 12" x 12". 6" from one side to the first baffle will be the fuge. inside the corner of the fuge will be a 3" x 10" "box" that will serve as the inflow chamber, thus spilling into the fuge. my question is, if i have three baffles then a section for the return pump does the center baffle have to be higher than the first and last. i was going to make the fist and last baffle 10" tall to match the inflow boxes hieght. then make the center baffle eight inches. im i wrrong in doing this and if so why and what are the effects of positioning the center baffle lower than the two outer ones? thanks tim sorry about the essay.

Tim do you a plan on what it looks like.....from what your saying is that all the baffle is touching the bottom which is not right at all. i would do is i will cut all the baffles the same size then put one up touching the bottom of the fuge then about 1" from the first baffle and 1" off the bottom put the center baffle and then the third one will be the same as the first one but about 1" away from the center baffle. this way the water will go up, down and up again. what im basically saying is the first and third baffle will be touching the bottom of the fuge. the center one would be 1" off the bottom but LOWER than the first and third one. will the center baffle being lower cause a problem, and if so, what?

my question is what is the purpose of you putting the center baffle lower? if the center is lower than the rest then the center is useless. the water will just overflow over the center. i don't know if i'm understanding this right so hopefully someone will chime in.
