ive been looking online at lighting someday would like to do corals. ive seen coralife in every lfs but saw the current usa orbit online. i would need a 30". the one i saw online had 1 dual daylight and one dual itinic w/ 2 moonlights for about 175. ive looked at a range of coralife the cheapest 30" starting @ about 120 but only packing 96 watts per bulb w/ no moonlights. anybody have any opinions about current usa. which is more durable and/or easiest to get bulbs and the like for.

what kind of corals are you planning to keep? You can only keep softies and maybe some LPS under a PC lights. if you want more option in terms of corals ..i will look into buying T5 or hallides. i'm considering of buying halides at ebay for $130 shipped... but i'm leaning towards a T5 for $280 instead (gives off less heat).

I have used a 30" current usa since day 1 and it has been nothing but great and very easy to find bulbs for.Look around online but I think you will get more bang for you $ with current.
But like TranZ stated it also depends on the type of corals you will keep. I keep softies and LPS. Hope this helps
