Hi can anyone tell me what the brown flim on my tank is and how do I get rid of it. The tank has been moved twice before I got it. It is a 110 gal. fish and live rock, feed once a day. I get it off and it comes back anything please. :?:

If you've made it this long before getting diatoms, consider yourself lucky. Generally, they are the scourge of a new tank. If you have recently moved the tank, you'll have more now than later, and they will subside a bit in time. But, you'll almost always have to deal with swiping the glass to remove them. The good thing is that pods love diatoms, so do most snails. When you swipe them from the glass, filter feeders enjoy them.

lights come on at 11am and go off at 9pm, they are twin daylights 96 watts 10000k and also twin blue lights that are only on for 2 hours a day, as for water every thing is fine
