I was just wondering if there were anything that was very cheap and could hold a med. amount of water long term? Like those little rubbermaid storage containers, you think they would overtime pop a leak or two? If its a chance I could put a strong liner in it and have the outside walls supported by cement blocks and stuff. What do you think? Plus, since it will contain cheato, I figured I would try to get some good light bulbs from wal mart and run them in a clamp on light thing that some people use for reptiles. The main reason I want to try something other then a glass tank, is well cheaper for the amount of water being held and plus I can leave the lights on 24/7 and not have it shine everwhere. Well thanks for reading and stuff, I appreceate your help!

I have seen many refugiums made from Rubbermaid containers. That's a very good way to cut costs.

the ones that are say about 1 1/2' long 1' foot wide and 2 1/2' tall? If so, I really hope they would hold up for long time, but i'm thinking that adding a little lineing still wouldn't be a bad idea. The tops would be easy to cut for the lights to sit on and stuff.

I've seen them made out of the 10 to 15 gallon size. They are not kept completely full, but seem to hold water quite well.
