Are there any signs that this fish is sick....spots, bumps, tore fins, not eating, staying on the bottom of the tank or secluded in a corner???? Any color changes??? Not sure what is going on....clowns do some erratic type movements but not sure what is up....
How are your water parameters, temp etc???

I wonder if it is possible it might be getting an electric shock of some kind? What other fish are in the tank and do they do it also?

What other fish are with it? Clowns act like this during aggressive displays, as part of the mating dance, or while practicing the mating dance!

my firefish did that at first when i put him in, he doesnt now, he stopped doing it when he found his "home" (cave made by a curve in the liverock meeting the sand forming a what i call...his "fire" cave :P)
anyways, my fish did it too at first, but he stopped and is doing great...
