Hello everyone.......it's been a LONG time!!
I finally got rid of the killer disease and have been restocking the tank for about the past 2 months!!

I purchased the last fish addition friday and had a few questions for everyone or anyone who might be able to help!!

The new girl (fish of course) in town is a small Dwarf (Zebra) lionfish and I was curious as to feeding her?? The reason I'm a little worried is because I already have a much bigger Red Volitans Lionfish who is an absolute PIG when it comes to feeding....Any recommendations on how to feed them both, and I feed ghost shrimp (guppies occationally).

The lfs owner told me that they would get along fine, which they have so far, and that feeding would be simple......"just feed the big one on one side and the new girl on the other....they'll both get their share!"
I can't remember how the Volitan acted when I got him because now I cant walk up to the tank without his pouting eyes looking at me saying "feed me daddy" .....but anyway,

the dwarf is acting very shy and just sits on the side of the wall next to the power head. Is this behavior normal for a dwarf lionfish whos just been introduced less than 24 hrs ago? I know that they are much less active than my Red Volitans, but will she liven up when food is introduced?

Last question (for now....), How long should I wait until feeding them, keeping in mind that If "she" doesnt act somewhat fast, the Volitans will swallow 15-20 guppies???

It is not uncommon for a fish whether it is a lion fish or another type of fish to take some time to get acclimated to a new home....I would just try feeding on your normal routine and see what happens... They both may get some or may be not...but you will see how the new addition responds then and then you can make some adjustments..... Congrats on the new addition!!!!

Well, the little guy didnt make it past the second night! So i guess I dont have to worry about the feeding, and I've decided that having 2 lions is two two many!!
The pet store gave me credit and I picked up a large jeweled rockskipper, and he is hilarious to watch!

The vast majority of the fish imported to the US are cyanide caught. (Yes, it is possible for "juiced" fish to make it to an elderly age.) the thing is that many are just too fried from the cyanide and add to that the hassle of shipping and unfortunetely we end up wityh many newly obtained fish dead.

Yeah, that is right...and the attitude of those that use the cyanide capture method doesn't seem to be changing!!!!! That is the tragic thing!!!!
