Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has been stung or biten by a venomous fish or a coral or any fish before. Was it worse than a bee sting, what did you do? If you stick your hand in the tank will they bite or sting you? Just Curious.

I used to have a Turkey fish, but never gotten bit or stung. What I read was that if you do get stung to place your hand (or whatever got stung) in something warm (like water). The heat helps to breakdown the proteins in the venom, faster recovery. From what I hear, the pain is far greater than that of a bee sting and can cause things (like vomiting).

Well.. It's all gonna come down to you being allergic to the venom or not, if you're not then maybe it will sting at least, but if you're allergic you might go into an anophylactic(sp?) shock and not be able to breath and choke in about 10 mins. Just be careful.

Well i dont actually have one yet but i was thinking about it! Wow, so do they sting you if you put your hand in the tank, I mean how do you handle them? I heard that a puffers flesh was venemous, is that true? Will a mantis shrimp attack you if you place your hand in the tank? I have a hammer coral how is that sting because i wasent stung yet, but i think my clown was because he hangs out in it and i found a small green ring on his tail does anyone know what that that can be?
Im Just Very Curious!
Thanks for the replies
