I can't believe the thing would eat a 4foot shark most of the way. Thats intense!

OMG! That was amazing. I would never have thought an octopus could take a shark like that. Aren't sharks at the top of the food chain in the sea? I suppose since this octopus was taken from it's natural habitat and placed in an environment that it couldn't hunt it's typical meal it adapted and went afer the sharks.

Very cool Conni! Thanks for sharing!

That was awesome, conni thanks for sharing with use.
and on sugars note. the octopus you should never under estimate, there strength is unbelievable. I was snorkling once off the coast by pebble beach in calif by a small reef. about 3/4 of a mile out to sea when I was a teenager, me and 2 of my good friends were out fishing. and one of my buddies was playing around with a small 2 and a half foot Octopus. next thing we noticed was the Octopus had wrapped around the back of his head and neck. we got him up to the surface and in the boat. and it took every bit of our strength to get it off of him, that Octopus had enough of him playing with him...lol.
he ended up getting stitches and that little guy bit him 3 times in the head each bit took scrappings of bone off his scalp.
plus theres octopuses out there that feed on whales. :eek2:
