I heard a lot of people tell me to put gorgonias in with seahorses for a natural hitching post, but gorgonias need a strong water flow, and seahorses can't have a strong water flow can they? Also, the guy at my LFS told me that the output of my pump in the 10 gallon seahorse tank would be too much flow for them, and that he had no idea how to divert it so that it would be less current. Any thoughts on this?

get a smaller return pump and see how the gorgonias do with low flow, they should be fine, they prob wont grow that much

Gorgonians, most of them really, are very hard to keep in home aquariums even for experienced hobbyists. Many of the comercially available gorgonians's diets are unknown and the dwindle slowly in home setups. I would avoid them IMO.

there are actually two types of Gorgonians...ones that feed off of light and others that are filter feeders. In response to the flow question you should be o.k. with a gorgonian in a low flow tank as long as you take care and not let algae and crud build up on them. The easiest way to do this is to frequently blow them off with a turkey baster. I hope this helps you some.
