View Full Version : Got my first fish today!
Went to this place today: http://www.thefishstore.com It was AWESOME!
I went to get two true perculas but they didn't have any so I got two oscelarris instead (spelling?)
I am about to search for 'acclimation' and 'quarantine' in a few ;)
There will be pics shortly :D
They told me that the water the clowns are in has copper and it's salinity is 1.014 so I know it's gonna be a while before they are introduced to the main tank. ;)
Way to go! Good luck with them. Low salanity levels and fish being kept in medicated water is quiet comon in the industry. Just ensure than none of this water makes it in the tank!!!
We will be looking forward to the pics...heck it aint my fish and Im already excited about it!

Great news...acclimate slowly....Going up in salinity seems to be harder on fish then going down.... Looking forward to those pictures..... ;)
I added a small powerhead in the tank for better aeration and some more filtration. The clowns seem to love the current because they are swimming in it.
2 questions: How long of increments should they be forced to swim in this? and is it good to do this while they are still in shock from the move?
Well, had my first two deaths this morning as well. I went to bed and they looked fine. I got up 6 hours later and they are floating around the quarantine tank.
