i have a relatively new tank with all the inhabitants added at the same time. 29 gal., 3 green cromis, 2 perc. clown, 1 singapore angel, and 1 fathead anthias. the anthias seems to be a picky eater ive been feeding it frozen brine but been calling my LFS to try to get live. the weather has been too hot for live and the rest of the fish eat most of the brine b4 the anthias can get to it. i feed flake and brine at the same time but the fish other than the anthias go nuts. any help on anthias keeping and/or behavior. are they shy, will they ever go nuts like the others? any help would be appreciated. thanks

ditch the brine yuor bioload is heavy are your water parameters good? I personally quit using brine and flake food too many phosphates in the flake food i now feed formula 1 and formula 2 (alternated) in the AM with mysis shrimp for dinner for my mandarin goby :) fish go insane for mysis shrimp every now and every other day i put in algae on a clip to prevent HLLE disease

They are very shy, and can be a pretty difficult fish to keep due to their shy, passive behavior and their finicky eating habits. I suspect that it's not eating well because the other tank mates are much more aggresive eaters. Most frozen brine shrimp is vitamin fortified, which is fine. If you do get some live brine, be sure to soak them in Selcon for added nutritional value. If you can find frozen mysid, try some of that too. And, as bigfoot mentioned, try some Frozen formula One as well. If Cyclop-eeze is available at your LFS, that would be a good choice too.
Good luck with the fathead. Beautiful fish, in fact my computer desktop is a pic of a fathead. ;)
