i have had a cleaner shrimp (red w/ white stripes) for 6 weeks, it has molted twice and water quality is fine. however today i have noticed 10-12 small black spots on its body. they are not raised or at least dont seem to be. does anyone know what this is. should i remove from my tank. thanks

no batteries for the camare and no other shrimp. 1 clown, 1 yellow jaw fish, hermits, emerald crab, and turbo snail. could this be a molting thing. no other fish show any negitive signs.

I wouldn't be to worried then...There are no more shrimp in there and he may be fine...If it is a parasite it won't be passed on to other shrimp so he is fine in the tank...I have seen shrimp parasites and the shrimp can live a long time with them.... so no worries!!!! If it dies...well you can get another one....You can't treat a shrimp...the meds that kill parasites will also kill the shrimp!!! Again no worries!!!!
