My scopas tang's fins look like something is eating them....the only thing I can think of is that he isn't the brightest fish, and thinks he can hang out in the anemone....could the anemone be doing this?? all my levels are normal....i keep my SG right at 1.024, any ideas greatly appreciated!

You say he is hanging out in the anemone...What kind of anemone are we talking about here??? How long have you had this fish??? What are your water parameters???

like i said...the levels are normal. Everything is at 0.0...the anemone has been in there for about 5months.....he acts like normal.....doesn't act stressed or anything, just doesn't have his normal fins. The anemone is an african yellow long tip.

I have two false percs, two black and white percs, and a gramma. the only crabs are blue legged, and they are still really small. my idea is the anemone, because he will actually hang out in it like a clownfish. i would like to hope that he wouldve learned not too, but he still does it.

Hmmmmmm.....how funny...You don't see any other fish or crabs nipping away do you???? It could be from the anemone but I am not sure....May be a fin rot...but not sure....???? It is certainly not normal behaviour from a tang!!! And those fins really look bad!!!!

when we first put the two black and white percs in a couple months ago, they would fight over the anemone, but now they co-exist peacefully....i havent seen anything nipping or picking at him. I am at a loss, im not sure how concerned to be since he is acting normal.
