Jellyfish in Flordia

Uh, when I was down in Destin flordia and my aunts Condo, I was on the beach reading and this little girl five feet away caught a small jellyfish 2feet in the water and it was clear with redish orange stripes around the bowl of the jellyfish. It didnt have any long tenticles that I could see of but I might be wrong. I was just wondering what kind it was, he was about the size of your palm. Thanks guys 8)

Actually, if it was the size of your palm, that's pretty good sized. Of course there are bigger jellyfish. Without a pic it would be hard to identify. Too bad you didn't have your camera.

Yea I know what you mean about the camera! The jellyfish wasa cool looking! Yea, its the first time i've ever seen a wild jellyfish so i thought it was small lol.

some form of man of war I would say I just saw a bunch of different kinds of them myself about a month ago when I was in Daytona Beach and New Smyrna where I am moving
