live rock in a canister filter?

is it ok to put live rock in a canister filter?????? i have noticed some people writing that they do or have dont it. does it work????????? pros and cons anyone. it sound interesting. i also have a canister filter and wounder how it works.

it should be fine, just take out your media that is working as your biological filtration and replace it with live rock rubble.

if you wanted to go farther, maybe install a under water light in one chamber and put some micro algea in it :)
