View Full Version : Waste water
I was doing a water change earlier and was wondering if using the waste water to water plants and trees was a good idea or not.
What are some good uses for the waste water?

Waste water from the ro/di process or from the tank....:)
If from the ro/di...no problem...I wouldn't use the change water from your tank as the salt will kill the veg.....

Yeah, I agree with Ron the salt would kill everything. I just dump mine in the street. I do use the waste from my protein skimmer to feed my plants!
I'm talking the salt water from the tank. That's exactly what I was afraid of. My waste water from the ro/di unit is attached directly to my sink's drain. (I wonder how much water i'm actually wasting?)
I use the skimmer waste to feed some plants too :D
Thanks a lot ;)

Also dillute it a little and place in microwave. It makes a good cure for hangover, better than any fish broth out there.
why dilute it? I'm sure it's better strong! LOL
