I got a new 125 gal tank and am trying to establish it as stated in a previous post, now my smaller tank has started leaking it is loosing about 1 liter a day so i need some way of quickening up the cycle.
Help please i don't want to subject my fish/coral to stress but also can't keep mopping up.????????????????

Could you move everything from your old tank into a plastic storage container? You may have to do water changes to keep the water in check, but that's easier in a smaller environment.

Several large rubbermaid tubs with powerheads in each one will hold your LR/livestock until you can either repair the leaky seam or get a enw tank.

Ditto's on the ideas to help...sadly unless you have fully cured LR...you can't speed up a cycle....even with fully cured there is always a possibility of a short mini cycle....

putting my coral/fish in a smaller environment means more stress. i was hoping i could add the 100 ltrs left of my water to new tank and try???

The alternative is to put them into an un-cycled environment that has ammonia and nitrite...which will not only bring lots of stress but more than likely kill them....

Are you using LR???

Use clear wrapping paper the one that is used to cover food (Saran Wrap). and warp your leaking tank, at least the area that's leaking, that will hold for a while.

Was the live rock "cured"? If it was the cycle should go perty quick, if not it may take a while depending on how much you got. Monitor ammonia, nitrite, nitrate until the first two are 0, and nitrAtes start to rise, then you know it is nearing compleation.

Rock is cured been only in tank a week ammonia and nitrite 0. used r/o water with 100 lbs of LR but i thought this is too soon.
So i used a different test kit still 0 and 0.
although there are many a new species sprouting from the LR.
So thought drop a few crabs in first to see how they progress?
