I've been doing some research on saltwater tanks I am thinking about purchasing a 12 gallon Nanocube deluxe from petsolutions. Just a couple of questions, the tank comes with 2 moon lights, are these specifically for reef tanks or certain kinds of fish? I still have not decided on what kind of tank I want but I want to make sure before purchasing something if it is something I need. I have seen pictures with this exact tank and lights and with coral and rocks in the tank it just looked amazing with the lights off. It will be another two weeks before ordering anything so I just want to make sure I have everything straight. Thanks

GCSurfer....First let me welcome you hear to CF....Glad you found us here...I am not the one that would be much help on Nano tanks as I am into large tanks so I will yield to the experts...after this one thought... I would say that the smaller the tank is the easier it is to see quick changes in the water quality and so it makes it more difficult for a new salt-water person to take care of...personally for anyone beginning in this hobby it would be my recommendation to always go with the larger tank, more water volume, more stable...but if you are into the nano then the nano guys here will be a big help to you!!! Again welcome to cf....

Hey Doctor_Reef, the reason why I was going with the smaller cube was for looks and I am on a budget. But I will keep that in mind and it may be worth it in the long run. But there is something about that tank... Anyways thanks.
