I don't see anything that is disturbing...It is just the rock coloring up!!! Nice shot of the chromis!!!

I agree. Looks like normal colors. Could be diatoms which are normal at this point in your tank. Do you have hermit crabs? They will help keep the rocks clean of debris and algae.

no i dont have a clean up crew yet, i have 2 cleaner shrimp which hangf out on the back of a rock all day.

i was waiting till my cycle was done, through some miscomunications i thought it was ok to put stuff in my tank, but now my guys are in there and surviving, im going to wait till my ammonia/nitrites and everything go zero before adding a cleaning crew or anything else.

Well, how long has the tank been up now? And, what size tank is it again?

And, I see in the picture a coral banded shrimp. They will hide like that most of the day.

Yes, difinately too early. You may loose them. Do you have another smaller tank that you could set up like a quarantine tank and get them out of the main tank while it cycles? You need to sait about a month before putting anthing in. Then, usually the first thing is the cleanup crew.

Where did you get the LR? Was it already cured? A good way to tell would be to pull out a piece and if it smells like rotten eggs they it is not pre cured, or is going through another curing process. The rotten egg smell is from dead and decaying matter on the rock.

Well I hand picked the stuff for fish supply, You hooked me up with the link. I drove down and hand picked out my liverock. It was curing in tanks when I got there, I picked it up, he scrubbed them down and I took them home.

I actually don't have a small QT tank, my cleaner shrimp seem to be doing good, there healthy and molting. My Fish are eating and swimming around and look healthy.

I am going to test my water to see where my levels are...

What do you mean he 'scrubbed them down'? Wouldn't that possibly ruin any critters that could be on the rock?

possibly but it also helps clear off dead sponges and other nasty stuff, most of the living stuff is going to retreat into the lr anyway, if you see any polyps just srub around them

Good to know. I'm getting a shipment from LiveRocks.Com tomorrow and i guess i may need to do that with a soft toothbrush.
