In my picture, I'v marked in red where I THINK I could add another piece of acrylic to create a new partition. Where I want to add some substrate is where the chaeto is (the center). The only thing seperating the return from this area now is a foam block. The light blue dots is where the max water level is during operation.
If I put a 'wall' up those dots, will I successfully accomplish what I want?
If anyone with experience modifying these trickle filters please let me know the ups and downs of trying to change the design.
