I stuck my rubble in my over-flow box. I wanted to get it out of the way mainly and still have it in the system...I WAS gonna put it all in the sump but there is not light...What are the thoughts here?

looks like one peice has some mushrooms on it, why dont you put it in your tank? i found bigger peices of liverock rubble add really cool connectors on liverock...i love little peices, really helps blend the peices of rock together.

As long as it doesn't restrict flow, and is always covered in water you should be ok...

Well, after tim and rons posts, it occured to me that it may not be the best place after all...I dont wanna lose the life on the rock plus, if the power goes out, the rock will be exposed to air and I REALLY dn't want to smell them ;)...

Lemme ask this: I'v thought of putting some in my trickle filter. Does LR hAVE to be submerged or can it be just as benificial if water is streamin over it? IE place it in the trickle. It probably won't do much good unless it's IN the water, right?

IF the live rock has water running over it will be ok...I have some LR rubble in my sump that is not completely submerged in water but has water always running over it from the returns.....
As you can see in this picture...

Is this your main wet dry filter? Because it looks to me that your creating a refugium in there. Refugiums are excellant filters but it takes away from your wet dry doesnt it? about the live rock, Im not a master aquarist but I do know a alot about natural reefs, and I know that in a natural reef the rock and some corals and all kinds of other non-moving animals get caught in the air when the tide goes out, now the wave come back and splash in on them every few seconds but they are exposed to air for a little bit at least, so I think that your rock will be just fine, as long as water is constantly moving across the rock. But it looks coool good job!

Yes this is a refuge....I wouldn't use a wet dry on a reef... and don't have one...The closest I get is the LR out of the water a bit...but with a constant flow of water... Wet dry's are notorious for being Nitrate sponges in a reef setting...

Thanks Solar for the kind words!!!
