I need to glue my leather on a rock that is a little higher for better water flow. I dont live near a LFS. What can I use to glue him to the rock?

Leathers can't be glued (unless they are already attached to a piece of rubble), they need to attach by themselves. The best way to do this is to either rubberband the base of the leather to the rock for a couple of weeks or use a needle and thread to "sew" through the coral and attach it to the rock.

If it's attached to rubble, any brand of super glue gel will work. I like Duro and Loctite.

It is already attached to two little pieces of rock. So, when using the super glue, I assume I have to take the rock out of the tank and dry the spots I need to glue together, then wait for it to dry a few seconds and just put it back in the water???

Exactly.

Yep that would be the ticket. Thats how I do most pof my softies when I propagate them and its worked very well. If you use a rubber band make sure its just tight enough to hold it. I like using the GARF super glue gel for these types of task as it works well on wet rocks!

Well, I need to attach him before he gets knocked over by the GIANT snail my husband had to have soooo I will probably use plain old "Krazy" glue.

Thanks for your help!

Using rubberbands won't damage the coral? That's interesting.

Just make sure the rubber bands are tight enough to hold ther coral and not tight enough to cut through the flesh.

That's what was running through my head...I thought that doing that WOULD cut into them. I suppose there is a right and wrong way to do everything :D

If doing this, should attention be paid to the orientation, direction, placement, etc? I mean, it should look pretty in the end, right?

I will probably use plain old "Krazy" glue.

the problem I have with just using Krazy glue is it's thin like water and most of it just runs into the rock, try using the gel and after you attach your piece of fragging to the rock dip the rock in a bowl of water from your tank and the water will seal the glue and you could just put it back into the tank and the glue will cure the rest of the way in the water.
