If anyone has any rock rubble to part with, I certainly could use some for my sump :D

I live in Chattanooga TN and I would pay all shipping and handling costs assuming they aren't too high :D

I have a Coralife RO unit that I am not using..It does NOT have a new membrane or filters but I have the old ones that can be used to locate others.

I don't know a lot about these things in general and the cartridges may be simply replaced with a generic type. Also, see this thread:
http://www.coralforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=7100...Igot information where to buy some.

I would like to receive approximately 20 bucks worth of live-rock rubble in return. I'll let you be the decider of what constitutes that amount :D

I will post pictures later when I get a chance :D
Thanks for looking!

You know?...I thought of that but didn't know if it was a good idea or not. :D Rock at my LFS is 10 and 20 bucks a pound..(I assume uncured/cured?)
I went earlier and asked for some and bought about two handful's of rubble. Nice white, maroon, and some pink coraline. Plus a little vegitation.

I'll still be willing to trade cause I don't need this ro unit. :D

We have others around (four total in the immediate area), but they are just as crappy.

Try http://www.hirocks.com/

I may know of someone local to me that has about half a ton of coral rubble that was purchased from Hirocks.com. I was looking for some recently and was told to check with him. I have just sent him an e-mail and will get back to you on what I find out. How much are you looking for?

Just enuff to maybe cover an egg crate about 8X8 inches square. It was suggested to me in another thread that it's possible to smash a LR with a hammer and simply make rubble LOL My goal for my sump is to have LR or LRRubble and plenty of macro. Over time, I want to put more and more. That is, of course, if it won't put the bio load out of whack.

That's one thing I'm unsure of. I paid 100 bucks for it back in 97. It's a coralife and it has no model name, number, nothing. I'm assuming it is the cheapest they make. I didn't make a lot of money back then so I'm sure I bought the least expensive LOL

I got 60 lbs of rock from hirocks and it was 45 bucks total. and it came in great sizes. I was concerned because the box was all beat up, but I got some great peices which were big along with alot of smallr peices. I highly recommend them!!

Is that rock live or simply base rock? Is is natural or home made?

if your looking for Live base rock. http://www.liverocks.com/
has nice base rock and it's Live. I got some from zack it had nice coraline, crabs, shrimp, sponges, oysters, ect,ect on it. but for the price it would be easier to take a hammer to there base rock then the 10 bucks a LBS you get locally.
