In the next couple of weeks I will be moving my tank to my classroom. I was wanting to get some advice from anyone who has moved their tank.

Also my classroom has a sink, which is great, but it only has cold water. I didn't know if it would be better to do a water change of a few gallons a week, so that the temp. doesn't drop to rapidly. If the keep the QT full of water ready to be used for a water change after it has reached the ideal temp.

There's a good link on how an acquaintance of mine moved tanks when he was in the business.

If there have been meds in the QT tank, I wouldn't use it as a water holding tank. There's nothing wrong with using a bucket or trash can with a heater though.

The article was very helpful. After the tank is moved will it go into a mini cycle? What is the best way to deep the fish from becoming stressed during the move?

My tank cycled when I moved it in May, but I have heard of people getting through without cycling too.

Try to keep your fish in a stable temperature. Darken their holding container to cut down on stress too.
