Hello Ladies and Gents..

I was wondering if it was possible if my Brown Star Polyp could maybe serve as a Host for a False Perc?

If not, what are some beginner corals, that do host False Percs !

Thanks in advance

They are the funniest fish...they will host with mushrooms, flowerpots, gonipora, hairy mushrooms, etc....they will host even with artificial anemones!!!!

If its a yes!! omfg!!! omfg!!!! what are the chances of a clownfish hosting with my polyp!?!?! !!!

I had my eye on a clownfish at the LFS inside it's bubble tip anemone, but what if i buy it and its sad :( no more bubble tip :( just a brown polyp

It may or may not...The star polyps don't lend themselves to hosting as well as some of the softies as they retract into that hard rough base...but you really won't know if they will or not until you give it a try...I would have some mushrooms and some of the other corals that they are more likely to host with...

Here are a pair of mine hosting a flower pot!!!

Aw, so the chances are slim, but has anyone ever heard of a clownfish hosting in brown polyp before?

Mine hosted in my powerhead for a long time until they decided that a giant rhodactis was a nice home. You might try the rhodactis, because it's a good beginner coral, is neat to feed, and are so cool when they split. Or, you could try a powerhead! :?

Mine hosted a MagFloat for about five months before it moved to a large clump of GSP.

wow... mine hosted with a bunch of caulerpa in quarantine... and then with a magfloat as well.... that drove me crazy!!! They now go back and forth between my toadstool leather and tongue.

Mine won't host anything! I have a bubble tip and 2 LT's and frogspawn. The frogspawn is the only thing they will go near.
