Pairing Neon Gobies

I've decided to make a 10g breeder tank with only 2 neon gobies in it, I have in it ls, and a 3/4" pvc tube for their 'cave' to breed in, anyone know how to pair them, I heard that you could get 6 or so and pair the ones that get along, that would cost a lot though, any cheaper methods?

The reason why so many fishes are used is because:

1) Hard to distinguish between males and females
2) Having a pair is not necessarily going to asure that they will mate.

SW fish breeding is hard, to say the least, Icereefer can explain a lot better than I can, since he's looking forward to raise fry from his black perculas.
