i resently picked up a mushroom rock at the lfs and the first two weeks it was in my tank it grew alot and looked great but the last two days they have withered away and got real small i dont have a pic of when the were big but here is one of how they look now ph is 8.3 nitrates 0 amonia 0 salinity 1.025 phosphates 0 copper 0 i spot feed them with brine shrimp eggs and marine snow 2-3 times a week. only concerned because i just got a frg of pulsing zenia and i dont want it to die thanks for any help, i do love saltwater but what a pain it can be sometimes :)

Mine do that occasionally.... IF your parameters are ok give them a couple more days and see if they don't pop back for you....
What kind of lighting do you have on the tank???

Ok....Your new lights should help...but the shrooms don't need high lighting but they seem to do better under good lighting...they also need some moderate water flow...they just seem to like some flow!!! :)

I really don't need to feed the shrooms...they get what they need form the light source...the zenia keep an eye on them...if they are not responding in a few days...and looking worse like they are dieing I would remove them... I do feed my tank cyclo...and some dt's twice a week for the other coral that are not photo...the shrooms and the zenia would get plenty that way...
