Hi
ok, the fish in the qt tank look awesome, they look perfect. i tested ammon and trites, both slightly elevated. did a water change. now i am worried this tank is going to spike, my other 55 (not the one the fish were taken out of) is quite healthy and only has 3 fish in it, only 1 that i want to keep, but anyway, the fish have been in meds for 8 days. would it be safe to put them in the healthy tank??? or do they need to be in meds longer. i don't want to lose them to a stupid tank cycling now.
thanks!

It would be best if kept in the QT for a Mimimum of 20 days in my opinion.

Do a water change with your display water if you can and I would also agree with a longer qt period....

tested water again last night and the trites are one notch above 0 (.25??) cant remember and same as the ammonia. everything else is fine. so i will do the water change today, how oft do you think i should change water on this tank?? once a week, twice?? daily? i will do whatever it takes

Try to keep the ammonia at or below .25 as a minimum. If you can, more changes and lower ammonia would be better.

ok, i just have to limp through 8 more days, i have a pretty big tomato clown that can get pretty aggressive, but she is slow, thats the only thing i worry about putting the other fish in, the goby, he likes the bottom the tang, shes fast, the coral beauty, sure she can hold her own, and my fairy wrasse, well.... speedy is his name, so i think they will all be ok in that tank.
thanks again
