I fragged this little guy about 3 mos. ago and he's been doing great, you can even see little new heads growing on the side.

ok if I have to explain, I guess I came up with it was a He, because unlike use humans, in the world of mother nature the male is usually the more colorful of the 2.
hows that does that work for you?

I dunno how I missed the replies to this post, which i had forgotten BTW.

I feed them the same as the fish : Mysis, cyclopeeze, Spectra mini pellets, and all the crap they catch when opened. :D

Unfortunetely a hermit decided this was a nice toy for him and decided to play catch with his buddies and moved the frag behind the LR so I can barely see it now, but IT's still there.

BTW great comeback line there Jim.

Hey George nice frag!I lost my sun coral due to brown algea and diatoms.I dried and bleached the skeleton so i have something to remember it by.

Very nice image. I would love to have one. They are not hard to upkeep are they?

They're not hard, they just need more direct feeding. Now, it's not a coral I would reccomend for begginers since overfeeding can occur leading to all sorts of problems that can be addresed and avoided by more experienced hobbyists.

How do you feed yours George?I used a feeding dome. The good thing about these corals is they are non-photosynthetic which means they dont have to have a bright light. It is a good hard coral for those w/ out MH's

I have used a new target feeder called a sea squirt.... I think.... Works great to reach corals and other critters you want to target feed!!!! You can get it from one or more of our sponsors.... check it out!!!

Yup I' ve seen that at a few LFS but I'm still a cheap b****rd so I still do the dome feeding as marshalrckman mentioned.
