I'm hoping to be getting something with more megapixels sometime this fall, so I'll be doing alot of research too. Check out this site for some reviews of digital cameras. http://www.dpreview.com/

I think that the mega pixel and zoom capabilities are important...I have a Olympus Camedia c-450 zoom with 4.0 mega pixel... it takes nice shots... but I am always game for some tips on pic taking!!! :)

These were taken set on the highest resolution and reduced in a program called Digital Image Pro to 680 X to fit in this format…

i should try some shots at a higher resolution, i'm not sure how to reduce photos so i'll have to look at the tutorial on the software that came with the camera

Cich do you have any photoediting software? If you don't you can try one of these.

I bought my first Canon EOS 300D/Digital Rebel for just under $1K. My second one cost me $600 new off of ebay. (1st one was stolen)

Ouch, Corey.....that is a pricy item to get stolen...I hope you had some kind of insurance you could use to help with recovering some of the loss... :(
