I would get rid of it.... There are a lot of threads here on how to get rid of them...They will take over a tank.... Joes' juice, syringe some kalk into it, I have even used a syringe with boiling water to kill them...The point is get rid of it!!!! :)

Here is another link talking about this little bugger!!!

Never heard that before, makes sense. I hate them and I have tons I am constantly battling. Get it out now before it is an epidemic.

Ohh.... I didn't notice that it was on the glass!!! If it is on the glass easy removal...Take a razor blade and a siphon hose and slide the blade against the glass under the base of the api - and cut it loose while siphoning it out of the tank... That way you get it all!!!! Works slick!!!

It's hard to believe that those of us who take so much time and money to give our little saltwater friends the best life we can, has so many different ways to kill the poor little aptasia.

hes not good in there?
how do they reproduce?
pull him out anyway?
if I leave him in the fuge will they spread into my main tank through the water cycling through it?
and why would you want to quarentine it big foot... is there benifit to keeping it in quarentine?
or if I leave it in my fuge ... is that quarentined enough
what are all the colors of stuff in the sand?
and while I am thinking bout it... what happens when you move the sand around (like shake it up or something)? it has like a lot of crap on it
I wanted to like siphon it or something

Best way to control aptasia I've found is a Peppermint shrimp,Since I dont like using any unneeded chemicals in my tank,Almost all nuisances or problems have a natural solution.
I had like 25 aptasia in my tank before I got my peppermint,2 days after they were gone
Plus injecting sounds like a pain in the butt, cuz it only gets the ones u can see so u will be constantly injecting these things
so IMO just buy a Peppermint shrimp and be done with it
Problem solved and reef safe
