Ok, so my doc. called me and said Im not going to Japan :(

So, I still have my 10 gal tank and all the hard ware, and whats left of my live sand (all dry now).

Should I do another SW? If so, is my sand stil usable since its all dried up?

I got injured during my deployment. I have to have surgury again, and Kadena is the 2nd busiest, POL (my job) base in the AF. So it would be pointless for the AF to send me over there :(

well once your healed cant you put in for a transfer back to your unit or were you rotating out by yourself? If not look at the bright side you still have a tank and everything you need for a awesome little tank do it, put it up and have a little fun with it see what you get

ui would get a rubber maid container like 30-40g and fill it like 2/3 full with water and pour the dried sand into it will rinse it real good :)

Corey - very sorry to hear about your injury!! JFYI we like you around here anyway!!! Now for the subject at hand - you certainly can use the old sand.... clean it a bit and as cich1 said add the water... You could even put a little fresh LS in the tank. Some local reefer could supply you a cup or so! Remember also that once your LR hits it, the sand will liven up anyway!!! :)

Yeah, I want to start another up bad, but now that Im staying here, Im going to get another Mustang, and, that takes alot of money to mod and maintain. And it would be hard to have both I would think.

I was thinkin about just turning it back into a FW...but it would seem stupid since I have all that sand and equipment.
