Barnacle, there are many types of Barnacles from the huge barnacles that we see shells of to very small barnacles. Some live on whales, on turtle shells and some are parasitic living inside clams, corals and the like. The picture attached shows a barnacle inside a acro coral. I have seen them in many wild corals but generally do not seem to bother the coral. They are filter feeders, feeding on plankton and bacteria filtered from the water. Barnacles are both male and female but not both at once. They reproduce sexually but I haven't seen any reproduction in my tanks, not to say it couldn't happen.
If anyone has any pictures or additional information they would like to share on the Barnacle, please feel free to post it here.
