My wife and I are getting new wood flooring and new carpet installed this week… So far so good… Thought I would share some pictures… We like the way the wood looks on the stairs and the landings!!!

You chose a nice color too! The wood looks warm and friendly with those yellow walls!

Oh, I guess I can tell that if I look closer! Unless you did a strange fade job on the bottom stairwell!

Still love it!

Let me tell you, I'm glad you are having it installed. My husband did our sunroom, and it took a week and he wore out his hands and knees, even with kneepads on. I've never heard so much swearing (outside of football games)! For the dining room, we hired a professional to help him, and it took a few hours and no swearing! Best $100 ever spent!

We did our own wood flooring too Conni. I was the official wood layer outer, and he was the official hammer inner. Tough job!!

Your's looks great Ron!

Thanks very much!!! And I am glad I don't have to do it my self....I do a lot of DIY stuff but my wife doesn't like me doing these kinds of major things in the house, although I usually do a good job, she says I get mean!!! Don't see it myself but she must be right!!!!

Great Ron!!! Looks very nice really like the thicker boards. How hard was it to keep the workers away from the tank? :-D

You got that right....it really makes a difference.... We are getting carpet in to day for four of the five bedrooms.... My wife wanted the carpet for these other rooms and so carpet it is........Our house is turned up side down with every thing taken from one room to the next...hopefully this time next week it will be getting back to some kind of normal around here!! :)

It is hard wood mix, primarily oak.... Yep...nothing to do with aquariums but the wood matches my stand and canopy!!!... That is why I posted this in the playground forum.... :)
