I have this fish the pet store called a dot dash goby, cannot seem to find info on him. i have cc but he seems to be doing good in it, and eats shrimp pellets like crazy. is there another name for him? is he suppose to share a burrow with shrimp (my peppermint shrimp seem to be bunking with him)
great little fish. when i got him i didn't see him but 2 x,s in an entire month. just when i thought he was dead i would get a glimpse of him. now he comes out alot and is very very cute
so anyway, would llike tto know more

The Goby family in general like a diet that includes a variety of mysid shrimp, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, table shrimp, and frozen food preparations for carnivores. They will eat pellets and flake if it can get to them...Your goby looks like it is doing well and appears healthy!!

Looks like a Decorated goby. Istigobius decoratus. They prefer a sand bed to sift through, but since you have CC you'll want to feed it more often. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-05/hcs3/

feeding him alot should be ok, he about eats from my hand. loves brine shrimp, shrimp pellets, krill (so far) looks pretty fat. the lps didn't know what he needed for an environment so i took a chance. i thought he would need a sand bed after i watched him eat, but i am really glad he is doing so good.
a decorated goby huh? cool
could help with the name...............
